The same size and style as the other two mini botanical paintings on panel: Sunrise Bay Laurel and Afternoon Bay Laurel (13 x 13”).
The different darker and lighter layers of this painting are thin and sheer, each showing through the next, which gives a softness and glow. You can see the dark pencil lines outlining the leaves. That is deliberate. Without those lines demarcating the silhouette, the leaves would dissolve into the very sheer sky and the design would have less impact.
